NCA and ALAFAVE are pleased to announce that The 3rd World Candle Congress & Trade Show will be held at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort in Orlando, Florida, July 6 - 9, 2010. This tri-ennial gathering will build on the success of the First World Candle Congress in Orlando (2004) and the Second World Candle Congress in Cancun (2007). The theme of this year's Congress is ENLIGHTENING THE WORLD and all candle manufacturers and suppliers are invited to participate.
Preliminary Schedule:
The NCA Board will meet on Monday, July 5. The ALAFAVE, AECM and ECA boards as well as individual committee meetings for each organization will be held on Tuesday July 6. There will also be a golf tournament on Tuesday morning along with a welcome reception Tuesday evening.
Separate business meetings for all members of both NCA and ALAFAVE will be held on Wednesday morning, July 7. Additionally, hands-on workshops and the Trade Show, featuring a wide range of suppliers to the candle industry, will be held on Wednesday afternoon.
A joint meeting of ALL attendees will be held on Thursday morning July 8 followed by the Technical Program (now in development) in the afternoon and a group dinner event in the evening.
The Congress will conclude on Friday July 9 with a meeting of the ASTM 15-45 Subcommittee on Candle Products.
Room Reservations:
Room rates at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club are just $169 (plus sales tax & resort fee of 12.5%) per night single or double. These rates are valid from Thursday, July 1 thru Monday, July 12. Plan to bring your family, enjoy the 4th of July celebration and explore Disney World and all it has to offer.
Room reservations can be made by contacting Disney at (407) 934-3372. You must reference The 3rd World Candle Congress & Trade Show when making reservations. The cut-off date for room reservations is June 11. If you require more than one room for your family, please specify you need two adjoining rooms (suites are not discounted). NOTE: Disney facilities tend to book quickly because of summer vacations and the 4th of July holiday. Be sure to make your reservations as early as possible.
